Regarding the "In Memory" Tab:    It is sad to see we have lost 7 members of our graduating class.  I am shocked!  I am guessing Brian Gianotti lost his battle with his health issues.  He suffered most of his life.  R.I.P. Brian  I wonder what took all of them so early?  My thoughts go out to all the families and loved ones of all these young people.

You are right Greg. Life was cut short. We all should be grateful for our health and appreciate that we are still here on this earth. It is really hard to look at the "In Memory" page and to see our old friends. RIP fellow classmates. We will miss you.

So sad to see the name and faces of those who are no longer with us that we called "friends". It shocked me to see so many of them and so many familiar faces..............................may they rest in peace.

So sad the people that have passed away.  Are you gong to post the reasons and the year that these people passed?

I remember every single person on the "In Memory" list.  Billy Johnson was in our circle of friends known as "The Rockers".  Those were some good times back in High School.  I wouldn't trade those days for anything.  It's sad to know that we have lost the ones we have lost.  Life is precious.

I'm so sad to see our friends on this page - I'm interested in knowing more & remembering them as I knew them all. Kris Bayer was a close friend. So sad!

WOW!  How does one go about getting a DJ from a local radio station to work a high school reunion?  Someone must have connections.
Reply
Bonnie Sanders on November 12, 2008 2:34 PM

Fortunately, we didn't need connections.  I just Googled his name to find his website.  In addition to hosting an 80's channel on Sirius radio, he now regularly DJs events. He's more expensive than regular DJs, but we figure he'll be worth it and we will just cut back on the decorations budget.  Back in the Eighties, I never would have imagined Richard Blade would be DJing our reunion!

Wow! It's so fun to see all the faces from the past... and here what everyone's been up to. I only went to MVHS till 10th grade...(although my heart stayed there!) but lotsa memories with everyone... even from elementary school. I will try to get pictures on here soon...and reconnect with old friends. Thanks to Bonnie and the commitee for making this happen!

Wow, I'm with you all on the friends who are no longer with us.  I knew each one of them in some way.  How heartbreaking.  All sweet people.

I cannot begin to tell you how saddened I am by all of those that we've lost, but Brian Gianotti was a particularly close friend of mine.  I know we lost Megan McClung (class of 90, I believe) and that was hard to take, but I have such fond memories of my time with Brian both at La Paz and MVHS.

Paul, I just found out from you about Megan. Wow. I'm still reeling. What a great young lady. I used to go hang out with her at her house every other day for lunch, and I remember going to Home Coming with her. We actually fit the Limo thru the In and Out drive thru! It fit. She always made me laugh. What a Sweetie. Geeze. Still horribly shocked. Can you drop me a line at j_kenster @ hotmail.com please. Have a question. Thanks. Live life to its fullest....

I was thinking that we all could do a toast in honor of the classmates we have lost since graduation.

Maybe we could ask our DJ, Mr. Richard Blade to play "ONLY THE GOOD DIE YOUNG" By Billy Joel

I think it could be a nice way of remembering our firends that are no longer with us.

I just discovered this site TODAY, fell out of touch with everyone when I moved to Portland and figured the reunion must've already happened. Well it's too late to make plans to go now, but i really got a kick out of seeing all your pictures. You all look great! It's true Californians are better looking than Oregonians, we all have better teeth anyway! Hi to Brad C., Ali D., Lori E. (you still alive, girl?), Robin D., and anyone else who was a bad influence on me or vice versa. Miss all of you. You think they'll have Wild Berry coolers at the reunion?

Bonnie:

My wife Amy and I just attended her reunion last night and had a great time!  It was obvious to me how much work this must have taken.  Thank you so much for sacrificing your time, energy and stress on our behalf!  We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.  What dress code would you like for us?

Hi Jonathan!

Thanks so much for the nice comment! We've had a fun time planning the reunion these past 12 months and hope it exceeds everyone's expectations.  I can't believe it's just a few days away!

We didn't set a dress code because we all had such differing opinions on what we felt the dress code should be. I know some friends that plan to wear nice jeans and a pretty top and others that will be wearing a cocktail dress - so there really is quite a wide variety of what people will be wearing.  Wear whatever you like, but remember it's August in California, so it will probably be hot!  I'd probably leave the tie at home if I were you.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Bonnie

Thanks Bonnie.  However, I will not be wearing a "pretty top" or a "cocktail dress", but thanks for the info. :)

Hi Jonathan - your response made me laugh!  (Not LOL - but more of a QCTM - quietly chuckle to myself.)  Great seeing you at the reunion and meeting your wife!

How did Matt Woodruff pass away?  He was such a great friend to me in high school.  I was very taken aback when I heard of his passing.
