Instead of making a profit, we donated proceeds to a local (Orange County) charity.
Classmates had the opportunity to vote on which charity should receive the money and the one that received the most votes was Orangewood. http://www.orangewoodfoundation.org/ Orangewood is the only OC shelter for children who are victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many have experienced the most serious forms of physical or sexual abuse. Once all the bills were paid and we settled the issue with the damaged leather couch, we had $200 left over to donate to Orangewood. |
